The
2006 Crystallography School continues the tradition started in 1989
of holding the meetings in the attractive lakeside town of Como in Italy.
However all previous meetings
were held at Villa Olmo; this year we will be at the Società
del Casino, in the Teatro Sociale, the famous opera house in the heart
of the city beside the lake. Click

Como
is close to the border with Switzerland, about 45 Km north of Milano.
Getting
there:
By
car: From Switzerland or Milan, take motorway A9, exit at Como
Monte Olimpino or Como Nord.
By
train: Journey time is about 40 minutes from Milan. Trains
leave from the central station to the Como S.G. station every hour in
the morning and afternoon. From Zürich, trains leave from central
station to the Como S.G station about every two hours.
There
is also a direct bus connection between the Airport of Milano Malpensa
and Como. The Teatro Sociale is within walking distance from the bus
station and and from both train stations. Buses are also available.
There
are many hotels in the vicinity of the conference locale. It will be
possible to choose from a selection of these on the registration page.
